Volquartsen Components:
With the popularity of quality 10/22 components manufactured by Volquartsen Custom, CST offers a special Auto Bolt Stop for VQ shooters. However, due to design variations over time deviating from the original Ruger designed 10/22, extra fitting can be required for proper function of the CST Auto Bolt Stop with VQ components.
VQ TG2000 Trigger Assemblies:
The VQ TG2000 trigger assembly has recently been upgraded to use a hammer torsion spring instead of the conventional compression (coil) spring. The new version will now require additional fitting for the Auto Bolt Stop to function correctly. This service is available from CST free of charge with the purchase of the Auto Bolt Stop Kit. Customers with the new version VQ TG2000 trigger assembly need to simply mail their unit in along with payment for the Auto Bolt Stop Kit and request the necessary fitting to be performed. Please specify either the .22 long rifle kit (#1001V) or the .22MAG/.17HMR kit (#2001V).

.17 Mach 2:
The .22LR version Auto Bolt Stop Kit (#1001) can operate correctly in .17 Mach 2 converted rifles. The special VQ .17M2 “heavy” match bolt will require some modifying to function with the Auto Bolt Stop. The attached piece of tungsten to the bottom of the bolt will need an enlarged contact surface to engage the bolt stop, as well as a smooth cut made across the left flat head screw.
VQ Match Bolts:
Some difficulties have also occurred when using the CST Auto Bolt Stop with VQ match bolts for other calibers. The surface of the bolt that engages the bolt stop has been found occasionally to be undersize compared to the factory bolt. These bolts can also be modified to function correctly. Please consult our labor rates to have modifications performed to VQ bolts as well as other custom 10/22 work.
